The Bumblebees Room has been designed to create a warm and homely environment in which your baby can develop, learn and flourish, whilst being supported by a dedicated team of qualified nursery nurses.
One of the fantastic opportunities the children have when attending Jack and Jill Childcare is the large landscaped gardens which are fully secure and provide access to a range of activities and resources.
There is a covered decked area where our children are protected from the elements to enable them to enjoy fresh air throughout the year. There is also a large artificial grass area to enhance all year round play. The children are encouraged to grow their own fruit and vegetables in our raised beds under the guidance of our nursery gardener.
A ‘roadway’ circling the top garden where the children can drive the bikes and cars and learn road safety. The children helped design the layout of our new garden to be an area for fun, games and also a quiet area they can relax in.
Exploring outdoors is a very valuable part of every child’s day and we plan many activities around our wonderful ‘outside classroom’. The children enjoy planting a variety of fruit, vegetables and herbs throughout the year which they then pick for John, our onsite chef to use when creating one of his yummy dishes!
They also develop their numeracy skills in a meaningful way when selling their additional produce on their own market stall at nursery to parents and visitors!
There is plenty of time for free play outdoors too, which helps children to learn to play together, co-operate with others, explore ideas, and just to be themselves.
